Additional Learning Support (ALS) at Pathways

The Additional Learning Support (ALS) Department at Pathways fosters an inclusive learning environment by tailoring curriculum and support to each child’s unique needs. It supports students with mild to moderate learning difficulties through in-class assistance, remedial sessions, exam preparation, and counselling. Working closely with teachers and parents, the ALS team focuses on academic, social, emotional, and personal growth—helping students build confidence, develop skills, and successfully integrate into all aspects of school life.

Inclusive Learning Support

The ALS Department provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with mild to moderate learning difficulties, slow learners, and those requiring social or behavioural counselling, ensuring every child can access and engage with the curriculum.

Personalised Academic Interventions

Support is delivered through in-class assistance, remedial sessions, and exam preparation. These interventions strengthen core skills such as reading, writing, mathematics, memory, organisation, and study strategies using child-centred and child-friendly approaches.

Holistic Student Development

From Primary to Senior School, the ALS team supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and psychological growth, helping them build confidence, strengthen peer relationships, and successfully integrate into all aspects of school life.

ALS works closely with parents and guardians at every stage, fostering collaboration to support each child’s progress, wellbeing, and independence—empowering students to achieve their highest potential.
